Paige’s Wine Tasting Supporting Best Friends Animal Society

Paige and I met through close family friends years ago. I originally reached out to her to host a party around the weekend of Heidi’s wine party and we decided August would be best with our schedules instead of July. On Sunday, August 13th, we gathered at Paige’s home to support Best Friends Animal Society.
I hadn’t seen Paige in a while and it was so great to catch up with this group again. While some of the same people who were at my previous party came to this one, there were still some new faces too. Paige did an incredible job with the set up and layout with food displayed on her kitchen counters and tables set up in the dining room in a U shape so it was group and conversation friendly and easy to pour the wines.
Wines Sampled
After organizing a wine poll amongst the guests, Paige and I hopped on the phone to discuss which wines she’d like to have at her tasting. The curation of wines below was decided with some thought given on who was going to be attending this tasting as well as wines that others have tried at previous parties.
Vintner Red Blend
Big and bold with complex berries and cocoa aromas. Full of depth and richness like dense chocolate cake.
Vintner Sauvignon Blanc

Vintner Rosé
Fresh strawberry, crisp watermelon, and hints of zesty blood orange blended with a touch of sweetness to add volume into the finish. This tantalizing rosé boasts a rich strawberry backbone with hints of cherry, watermelon, and citrusy aromas.
Frizzante Red
Born in Italy, this Rosso Dolce (sweet red) boasts a subtle spritz and a touch of sweetness. Notes of cherry, wild strawberry, fresh blackberry, anise flower, and cassis stimulate the senses and offer a refreshing red for all seasons.
Vintner Sparkling Brut
This fresh and delightful Brut has a mixture of pineapple and citrus notes combined with green apple. The palate is intense and weighted with a lasting creamy finish.
Sparkling Almond
Decadently bubbly and aromatic with notes of toasted almond and a delicately sweet but lingering finish.
Sparkling Moscato
Enticing citrus blossom and juicy white peach aromas blend effortlessly with a delicate sweetness and playful effervescence. Lemon drop candy and tangy mandarin lead into a balanced finish.
Vintner Moscato
Perfumed aromas of orange blossom and citrus zest meet bright and sweet flavors of candied lemon and nectarine in this lovely Moscato.

I was a little bit nervous going into this party, because I had never been to Paige’s house and I also only see her at gatherings at a mutual friend’s house. I am so grateful that Paige was so organized and prepared which made this party smooth sailing. The layout of the tables in a ‘U’ shape made it easy to pour wine and also made conversations flow. Paige also joined our impact driven wine club and we exceeded in orders without a need to extend the party link.
Nonprofit of Choice
Best Friends Animal Society is an organization dedicated to serving the well being of animals. This group believes every pet has a story and lives worth saving. It breaks Paige’s heart to see animals suffering and with the efforts of Best Friends Animal Society, animals’ lives are saved daily around the nation. They help animals in shelters find foster homes or forever homes and they also help animals out in nature and natural disasters. Best Friends Animal Society will be receiving $60.69 in donations from Paige’s event.
