Making the Most of Wine Delivery Mishaps with Heidi

Towards the end of July I was able to travel back to my old stomping grounds from the UP to visit some family and close friends for the weekend. On Saturday, July 22nd, my mom (Heidi) and I spent quality time together in the morning to prepare some of our favorite party staples. The nostalgia of having fruit and vegetable trays, taco dip, and homemade barbecue sandwiches brought me back to all of the childhood birthday parties and holidays we had spent together while I was still living at home.

We decided to send the party wine to my mom’s work for her to sign for since I wasn’t confident on my timing of being around at the house on delivery day. Time went by, and the package didn’t come. Once she was done with work, there was still no package- with the party being the next day. We kept an eye on the tracking information and waited for the day of to see if there were deliveries on Saturdays. The tracking information was updated early Saturday morning that our wine wouldn’t be delivered until Monday morning.

Vintner Collection Mini Bottles

Thankfully, my mom attended Laurie’s party back in April and still had some mini bottles of our Vintner Collection. She loves the mini bottles to add to gifts for her friends and co-workers since most of them drink wine. She usually pairs them with crackers, dip mixes, and other common party favors.

Whether you’re looking for the perfect party favors, closing gifts, or customer / employee appreciation, these NEW Custom Labels for ONEHOPE’s Mini Sparkling Brut are so memorable, personal AND they also give back to a non-profit of your choice. These are the perfect way to promote a business or to celebrate any occasion!

Cause Entrepreneur’s Experience

Not only did the food bring back the memories of my childhood gatherings- birthday parties, holidays, and backyard barbecues, but so did the guests that attended. Life long friends, relatives, and co-workers who have been in my life since I can remember made the wine delivery mishap that much easier to manage. I was anxious and nervous about the wine not arriving, but one of the guests is also a wine club member and had recently gotten a shipment. She was kind enough to bring a bottle of my mom’s favorite for everyone to try and even got a replacement once my mom’s package arrived.

Cause of Choice

Mental Health America Inc. will be receiving $25.40 from Heidi’s event, 10% of all purchases. It’s important to know that many individuals with known mental health illness never seek help from a professional due to stigma, discrimination, lack of resources, or a combination of all three. Even if you don’t struggle with mental illness yourself, you might care about someone who does or you might want to get more involved in spreading awareness, sharing information, tools, and/or support. It all starts with spreading awareness and providing safe places for vulnerability and authenticity.
