If you’ve never heard of ONEHOPE, this one’s for you. I had never heard about the company until I saw an ad on Instagram last summer. “Share Wine, Give Hope” was included in the post, and that’s just what we do. Being a Cause Entrepreneur, I’m able to build a community, make lifetime memories, drink great wine, and make a lasting impact.
Built On Hope, Rooted In Purpose
ONEHOPE Winery was founded in 2007 by six friends who had come together to raise funds for another close friend who was diagnosed with cancer. Like most stories worth telling, ONEHOPE’s began with a group of friends, humble beginnings, and a skyward vision. They were working for some of the world’s largest wineries and they all felt an undeniable calling to do good.
What started with 168 cases and a white pick-up has grown to become a state-of-the-art flagship winery in the heart of Napa Valley. They continued to grow, raising funds for other people and causes in their communities. To date, we have reached over $9.7 million in donations to local and global non-profit organizations. The ONEHOPE Foundation continues to fund sustainable projects focused on water, health, hunger relief, and education resources.
Cultivating Community
When I answered the phone from a California number that day, I didn’t know what this company could do for me. I wasn’t really a wine drinker before becoming a part of this incredible community. I found it difficult to gather with people I cared about and meet new friends. AND I was missing the void of giving back and making a difference in peoples’ lives.
After my conversation, I thought about all the ways this could change my life. I love gathering with loved ones, meeting new friends, and I knew that this impact driven company could build an incredible lifestyle and career for me.
The Lifestyle
Now that I’m a Cause Entrepreneur, I’m able to connect with my friends and family more consistently, gather with friends and their loved ones to taste wine and give back to causes they hold close to their heart, and work with businesses and nonprofits in my community to make an even bigger impact. With ONEHOPE, my goal is to provide meaningful lifetime memories by cultivating community, big or small, to bring your favorite people together in a safe space so that you can be authentic and vulnerable within your surroundings, allowing you to feel seen, heard, and acknowledged.
